The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has officially unveiled the much-anticipated schedule for the summer of 2025. Both the men’s and women’s teams are poised to captivate cricket enthusiasts with simultaneous series, including thrilling encounters against India. The England men’s five-match Test series against India is slated to take place between June 20 and August 4, while the women’s series, featuring three T20Is and three ODIs, will run from June 28 to July 22.
In a historic move, Leeds will be the venue for the opener of the England-India Test series, commencing on June 20. The second Test is set to unfold in Birmingham starting on July 2. The iconic Lord’s will host the third Test from July 10, and the series will then move to Manchester for the fourth Test, concluding with the fifth Test at The Oval.
For the Indian women’s tour of England, five T20Is will set the stage, beginning on June 28 in Nottingham. Subsequent matches will be played in Bristol on July 1, The Oval on July 4, Manchester on July 9, and Birmingham on July 12. This will be followed by three ODIs on July 16, 19, and 22, to be held in Southampton, Lord’s, and Chester-le-Street respectively.
Before turning their attention to India, England will welcome the West Indies, with both the men’s and women’s teams participating in three ODIs and three T20Is each. The summer cricketing fiesta will commence with Zimbabwe’s first Test match in England since 2003, a four-day affair scheduled to be played at Trent Bridge from May 22.
Towards the end of the summer, the English men’s team will lock horns with South Africa in a white-ball series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is, running from September 2 to September 14. England will also embark on a visit to Ireland in the same month, playing three ODIs on the 17th, 19th, and 21st.
ECB CEO Richard Gould shared his excitement about the upcoming fixtures. “Staging England Men’s and England Women’s series alongside each other has been popular with fans and supported the continued growth of the women’s game, with both the Ashes last year and the Pakistan series earlier this year proving successful. I’m excited we’ll be doing the same again for the West Indies and India series next year. Cricket fans are in for a real treat, and I hope they’ll be out in force to support both men’s and women’s sides,” Gould remarked.
.
He further added, “India touring is always a big draw and a highlight of any cricket summer. The last men’s Test series here was a nailbiter and I’m sure next year’s clash will be just as exciting, while our women’s series are always fiercely competitive. I’m delighted we’ll also be welcoming both West Indies teams back again for white-ball series, following this year’s men’s Test series.” Gould also confirmed that Indian women would return in 2026 to feature in the inaugural women’s Test at Lord’s.
