The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has officially unveiled the highly-anticipated schedule for the summer of 2025, promising a thrilling season of cricket with the England men’s and women’s teams slated to engage in simultaneous series, including the much-awaited face-offs against India. According to the schedule, the England men’s team will compete in a five-match Test series against India from June 20 to August 4, while the England women’s team will take on the India women’s team in a series that features three T20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) from June 28 to July 22.

The cricketing action kicks off at Leeds, where the first Test between the England and India men’s teams will begin on June 20. Following this, the series will move to Birmingham for the second Test starting on July 2. The iconic Lord’s stadium in London will be the venue for the third Test on July 10, while Manchester and The Oval are set to host the fourth and fifth Tests, scheduled respectively.

In parallel, the India women’s tour of England will initiate with five T20 Internationals. The games are scheduled on June 28 in Nottingham, July 1 in Bristol, July 4 at The Oval, July 9 in Manchester, and July 12 in Birmingham. Post these T20Is, the women’s teams will compete in three ODIs, scheduled for July 16, July 19, and July 22. These matches will be held in Southampton, Lord’s, and Chester-le-Street, respectively.

Before the marquee contests with India, the England teams will host the West Indies for a series of matches. Both the England men’s and women’s teams will face the West Indies in three ODIs and three T20Is each. Notably, the England summer cricket season will commence with Zimbabwe visiting England for their first Test since 2003. This four-day game is set to take place at Trent Bridge from May 22.

. As the summer winds down, the England men’s team will also play three ODIs and three T20Is against South Africa from September 2 to September 14. Adding to the cricketing agenda, England will travel to Ireland for a trio of ODIs scheduled on September 17, 19, and 21.

ECB CEO Richard Gould expressed enthusiasm about the forthcoming cricket season, emphasizing the growing popularity of staging England Men’s and England Women’s series concurrently. “Staging England Men’s and England Women’s series alongside each other has been popular with fans and supported the continued growth of the women’s game, with both the Ashes last year and the Pakistan series earlier this year proving successful. I’m excited we’ll be doing the same again for the West Indies and India series next year. Cricket fans are in for a real treat, and I hope they’ll be out in force to support both men’s and women’s sides,” Gould remarked.

The excitement surrounding India’s tour is palpable, with Gould highlighting the significance of the series. “India touring is always a big draw and a highlight of any cricket summer. The last men’s Test series here was a nailbiter and I’m sure next year’s clash will be just as exciting, while our women’s series are always fiercely competitive. I’m delighted we’ll also be welcoming both West Indies teams back again for white-ball series, following this year’s men’s Test series,” said Gould. He also revealed an additional highlight: the India women’s team will be back in 2026 to play the first-ever women’s Test at Lord’s, marking a historic occasion.
