The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has officially announced a thrilling schedule for the summer of 2025, marking a significant event for cricket aficionados. Both the England men’s and women’s teams are set to captivate fans with concurrent series, including highly anticipated clashes against India. This announcement has stirred excitement within the cricket community and sets the stage for a summer brimming with intense competition and high stakes.

The England men’s cricket team will face India in a gripping five-match Test series, scheduled between June 20 and August 4. The series will kick off at the iconic Headingley Stadium in Leeds on June 20. The action then moves to Edgbaston in Birmingham for the second Test, commencing on July 2. The historic Lord’s Cricket Ground will host the third Test starting on July 10, followed by the fourth Test at Old Trafford in Manchester, and culminating with the fifth and final Test at The Oval in London.

Parallel to the men’s Tests, the England women’s cricket team will also square off against India in an exciting series featuring three T20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs). The women’s fixtures will initiate with a T20I at Nottingham on June 28. The next T20Is are set for Bristol on July 1 and The Oval on July 4. The T20 segment concludes with matches in Manchester (July 9) and Birmingham (July 12). The emphasis then shifts to the 50-over format, with ODIs scheduled in Southampton (July 16), the prestigious Lord’s (July 19), and Chester-le-Street (July 22).

Preceding the India series, cricket enthusiasts will be treated to a series against the touring West Indies. Both the men’s and women’s teams will battle it out in three ODIs and three T20Is each, setting a competitive tone for the summer.

Adding to the cricketing fervor, England will host Zimbabwe in their first Test since 2003. The four-day Test match is scheduled at Trent Bridge from May 22. Following the high-profile India series, the England men’s team will end their summer fixtures with a white-ball series against South Africa, consisting of three ODIs and three T20Is, spanning from September 2 to September 14.

Richard Gould, ECB’s CEO, expressed his enthusiasm for the announcement: “Staging England Men’s and England Women’s series alongside each other has been popular with fans and has significantly boosted the growth of the women’s game. The recent Ashes and Pakistan series are testaments to this success. I’m thrilled that we will replicate this for the upcoming series against the West Indies and India. Cricket fans have much to look forward to, and their support will be pivotal for both our men’s and women’s teams.”

Gould further emphasized the impact of India’s visit: “India touring is always a big draw and a highlight of the cricketing summer. The previous men’s Test series was a nail-biting affair, and I anticipate next year’s matches to be equally captivating. Our women’s series with India are renowned for their fierce competitiveness. We are also excited to host the West Indies teams again for the white-ball series, building on this year’s successful men’s Test series.”

In a groundbreaking revelation, Gould announced that India women will return to England in 2026 to participate in the inaugural women’s Test match at Lord’s – a historic milestone for women’s cricket.
